A fabric bundle consisting of 8 different blue shweshwe prints, all made from 100% cotton. Each piece is approximately 45 cm x 50 cm and you will receive the 8 different prints as shown in the images. Please note that colours may appear differently on your computer/device. The fabrics are the blue, yellow and pink shweshwe fabric, the original shweshwe from South Africa, from the Three Cats brand. If you are familiar shweshwe, you will know that it is stiff with starch and requires washing before it is used. This bundle is great if you want a variety of fabrics without having to buy whole metres. Ideal for smaller crafting, patchwork and quilting projects. This will remove the stiffness of the fabric. ABOUT SHWESHWE FABRIC Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric widely used in traditional South African clothing; dresses, skirts, and so on. It was originally dyed indigo but is now manufactured in a variety of colours and designs. The formal name for shwe shwe is ‘Indigo-dyed discharge printed fabric’. It is a trademarked fabric and is manufactured by Da Gama Textiles in the Zwelitsha township outside King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
