A bundle of Blue Shweshwe Fat Quarters that consists of 10 different shweshwe cotton prints, all made from 100% cotton. This is the original shweshwe from South Africa, from the popular Three cats brand. Each piece is approximately 18 ins x 20 ins (45 cm x 50 cm) and you will receive 10 different prints as shown in the images. Please note that colours may appear differently on your computer/device. Five of the prints are blue and white and the other five are blue, yellow and pink. This will remove the stiffness of the fabric. ABOUT SHWESHWE FABRIC Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric widely used in traditional South African clothing; dresses, skirts, and so on. It was originally dyed indigo but is now manufactured in a variety of colours and designs. The formal name for shwe shwe is ‘Indigo-dyed discharge printed fabric’. It is a trademarked fabric and is manufactured by Da Gama Textiles in the Zwelitsha township outside King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
