6 Black Turquoise and Orange Shweshwe Fat Quarters

A fabric bundle consisting of 6 different shweshwe prints, all made from 100% cotton. Each piece is approximately 45 cm x 50 cm and you will receive the 6 different prints shown in the images. Please note that colours may appear differently on your computer/device. If you are familiar shweshwe, you will know that it is stiff with starch and requires washing before it is used. Allow for 8% shrinkage. This bundle is great if you want a variety of fabrics without having to buy whole metres. Ideal for smaller crafting, patchwork and quilting projects. This will remove the stiffness of the fabric. ABOUT SHWESHWE FABRIC Shweshwe is a printed dyed cotton fabric widely used in traditional South African clothing; dresses, skirts, and so on. It was originally dyed indigo but is now manufactured in a variety of colours and designs. It is manufactured by Da Gama Textiles in the Zwelitsha township outside King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
