A modern and funky take on a polka dotted design in batik. This handmade and hand-dyed fabric is from Nigeria, West Africa. A simple but bold design consisting of large dark blue and turquoise polka dots against a white background. The fabric is 100% cotton and suitable for dressmaking, quilting, crafting and any project requiring a light to medium weight cotton fabric. Additionally, the back of this fabric is slightly different from the front. As a result of the way the wax is distributed and melts during the dyeing process, it has quite a different, darker more marbled look which we have tried to capture in the images. There is no ‘wrong’ side to the fabric and you can use which ever side you find more appealing or even a mixture of the two. The fabric is 48 inches in width and you can choose between two lengths; either a 2.4 yard (2.2 metre) length or a 4.8 yard (4.4 metre) length. You can find these options in the drop-down menu.
